"We are a global community of educators, creatives, change-makers, helpers, and healers dedicated to the mending and repair of societal harms. From weekly meditation practices for all, to our BIPOC Affinity Group, as well as immersive retreats, in-school youth sessions, workplace self-care toolkits, and facilitator certifications — it is our goal to empower communities through leaders of all ages, equipping them with the life affirming tool of mindfulness. Through practice, study, and reconnecting each other with the things that matter most, we hearten ourselves and commit to the wellbeing of future generations."
It’s Day 7 of the CBI Daily Rebrand Challenge! If you played along with us, you can find your final prompt below and submit your form for a chance to a weekend retreat with our Executive Director, Danae (a $959 value) featured below in the program section.
Our rebrand is officially live across all platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), and we have a polished new website ready for you to explore!
This rebranding took the dedication of our entire team and has been many years in the making. We welcome your donations to strengthen our organization during this inward time of rebirth—every donation of any size is a vote of confidence for the direction we're heading.
Alongside the updated branding that reflects our deepened commitment to being with and learning from nature, our newsletter and blog have new names that embody our core values and mission of connection and evolving in community.
Formerly known as Everyday Awakening, our blog will now be called "Seeds of Change: Mindfulness in the Modern World". This new name signifies the potential for growth and transformation that exists within each of us. It reflects our dedication to nurturing seeds of mindfulness, social justice, and community support. Here, you'll find inspiring stories, practical insights for your mindfulness practice, and updates on our community's journey towards positive change.
Our newsletter has been renamed "Roots & Branches" (affectionately called R&B). This name change highlights our intention to remain connected to our roots (i.e. Asian lineage, CBI history, and individual influences) while extending our reach to connect with a broader community. In each edition, we will share what is happening in the CBI community and offer resources to support your mindfulness practice.
We are excited to embark on this new chapter with you! The Seeds of Change Blog and the Roots & Branches Newsletter are more than just names; they represent our shared commitments and ongoing learning. We invite you to engage with our content, share your thoughts, and be a part of our vibrant community. Together, we can nurture the seeds of change and extend our roots and branches to create a more mindful and just world.
If you’d like to join us this July for mindful movement and meditation at the pavilion, or for our MFC info session, we look forward to having you join us. (Planning ahead for December? See below!) We revealed the rebrand on Juneteenth, setting the stage for a Fourth that's both reflective and festive—cheers to freedom in all its vibrant forms!
P.S. As we say farewell to the old website, it is important to acknowledge each and every community member who poured energy and care into the Copper Beech Institute which was founded ten years ago. You are our lineage, and we are your legacy - our roots are strong, and our branches expansive. Thank you for making now possible.
P.P.S. Special thanks to Morgan Nyerick for her tireless vision and collaboration, and to the generous Rhodes Brothers for their media and marketing expertise BrandGenes.
