Event with Miranda Chapman & Brandon Nappi
January 15, 2020 07:00 PM - January 15, 2020 08:30 PM

IDEAL FOR: All levels

Courageous Candlelight Conversations provide a forum to explore the connection between contemplative practice and vital social issues. Engaged citizenship in which people take an active role in their communities relies upon honest dialogue and sincere listening about our common convictions and diverging viewpoints. Candlelight Conversations provide a space for true exchange where people deeply encounter one another in a spirit of authenticity and compassion. Each Candlelight Conversation will include meditation, mindful conversation, and teaching, concluding with tea and refreshments.

For our first Courageous Candlelight Conversation of 2020, we will hold space for shares and reflections on the topic of mindfulness, spirituality, and God. At Copper Beech Institute, mindfulness practice is a powerful bond that unites people from diverse spiritual backgrounds. Join us for a spirited conversation about the many possible connections between mindfulness and the spiritual life. We’ll explore the distinctions and overlap between religion and spirituality as we examine how mindfulness can be a sacred path to the divine. Facilitated by Miranda Chapman, this gathering will feature Copper Beech Institute Executive Director Brandon Nappi.

All are welcome. No registration necessary. Free-will offering.
